Privacy policy
Draft prepared 12/06/2026
Who we are
Echelon Collab ("Echelon", "we", "us") is a Melbourne-based design, technology and automation studio working with businesses across Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
Through this website we collect only what you give us: your name, business name, email address and the description of your situation that you submit through the assessment form or send to us by email.
Like most websites, our hosting provider also processes standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to serve and secure the site.
Why we collect it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare for and run your assessment, and follow up about work you have asked us about. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How it is stored
Form submissions are delivered to our email and stored in our business systems. Some of the services we rely on (such as email delivery and website hosting) may process data on servers outside Australia; we use reputable providers and limit what we send them to the minimum needed to operate.
Client data during engagements
When we work inside a client's systems (for example accounting, reporting or workflow platforms), we access only the data needed for the engagement, under the client's authorisation, and we do not retain client business data beyond what the engagement requires.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising trackers. If we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site performance, it is configured without cross-site tracking.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact consult@echeloncollab.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
