Echelon is a Melbourne studio that designs, builds and automates the systems a business runs on - website, workflows, data, growth - as one connected system, not four disconnected vendors.
Most small and mid-sized businesses don't have a technology problem; they have a connection problem. The website was built by one person, the accounting file is managed by another, the spreadsheets are held together by whoever cared most, and none of it talks. The result is the chaos you saw on our homepage: re-keying, double handling, decisions made on stale numbers.
We work on the whole line. Design the surfaces, build the systems, automate the workflows between them, then put live numbers on top so you can see what is working. One studio, accountable for the connections - because the connections are where the hours and the errors live.
We run particularly deep in finance operations and multi-entity businesses - hospitality groups especially - where the gap between 'the tools exist' and 'the system works' is widest, and the savings are easiest to measure.
Every engagement has to show quantifiable value: hours saved, errors removed, costs lowered. It is why we insist on the assessment before the proposal, the fixed-price pilot before the program, and the before/after numbers before we call anything done.

You should never need a glossary to read our proposals. If we can't explain it simply, we don't understand it well enough to build it.

We build on the tools you already pay for - Xero, Stripe, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace - and only add new ones when the numbers justify it.
